Broadcast Producer Job Description:

1. A broadcast producer should plan and co-ordinate various aspects of radio, television, or cable television. Coordinates various aspects of production, such as audio work, scenes, music, timing, camera work, and script writing.
2. Should supervise student or temporary employee in studio cleanup, setup work and camera operation during a major portion of the employee’s work time.
3. Should obtain costumes, props, music, or other equipment or personnel to complete production. The broadcast producer is also responsible for the commercials that appear in radio and televisions.
4. He/she should be able to assist director in some production switching.
5. Should view taped program to select scenes to be used for promotional purposes, using video equipment.
6. The person should also be able to interface with vendors, directors, editors, and clients.
7. Minimum of 7-10 years experience as a broadcasting producer.
