Chemistry Lab Assistant Job Description:

1. Should be able to set up and conduct chemical and other experiments, tests and analyses using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical and chemical separation techniques and microscopy.
2. Assign specific computer generated identification numbers, checks for accuracy, and records all items processed.
3. Work along with other lab technicians in the microbiological and chemical testing to accredited standards-methods, approved equipment and working practices, as required.
4. Should be able to learn and adapt new techniques or procedures and have full knowledge of location of stored specimens.
5. Ability to multitask and manage priorities and assist in the design and fabrication of experimental apparatus. Should be able to operate experimental, chemical or petrochemical pilot plants.
6. 7-8 years of experience along with graduation in chemistry is desired.
