Dental Hygienist Job Description:

* The person should be cross-trained as front office assistant to maintain dental record filing, receiving and scheduling patient appointments.
* Should be apt in providing radiographic surveys, periodontal and oral pathology screening, fluoride treatments and sealants.
* He or she should advise patients about good nutrition and its impact on their oral health. Maintain a clean, sterile and cheerful environment where patients feel comfortable.
* Provide prophylaxis treatment to patients in a variety of situations; teeth cleaning, gum massage, oral hygiene education, and periodontal scaling.
* Should be able to assisted senior dentist in prophylactic procedures, provided necessary tools, sterilized equipment and comforted patients.
