Nurse Educator Job Description:

1. Should posses at least a Master’s Degree in Nursing and must have taught this subject for at least 2 years in a certified University or college.
2. Should act both as a formal and informal consultant assisting with the integration of new learning into nursing practice and serving as a resource by assisting nurses in identifying problems or issues.
3. Should be able to integrate ethical/laid down rules in all aspects of practicals and make sure that everyone follows them.
4. Should provide for counseling and debriefing sessions, and teach people how to be good mentors/preceptors.
5. Should bring in evidence based studies to update policy and procedures in house to maintain state of the art care.
