Psychiatric Nurse Job Description:

1. The Psychiatric Nurse should be able to devise nursing plans, administer medications and provide direct nursing care.
2. The nurses must be caring, compassionate and interested in helping patients with mental disorders or problems.
3. Must have knowledge of health record aspects of patients and the ability to accurately and completely record clinical data.
4. The nurse should be registered and must have minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute hospital setting; preferably in a psychiatric facility.

Psychiatric Nurse Resume Objective:

To obtain the position of Psychiatric Nurse in a hospital/clinic having extensive knowledge of drug-induced mental illness, medical/surgical procedures for handling patients, case management and conduct psychiatric diagnostic assessments or substance abuse assessments. I also have experience in crisis management and the ability to make good relationships with the family members of the patient.
